Simple Version:

Rules on the number of Life Points and playing Forge cards remain the same.

Note: The Simple Version of the game will not be used in tournaments or other competitive areas. After becoming familiar with the Simple Version, we encourage you to try the Normal Version.

1) Action: Draw three cards from the Deck. Then, draw spell cards equal to the number of creature cards you drew.

When: You always do this at the start of each of your turns and at the start of the game

2) Action: Play as many creature cards from your hand as you like.

When: Always complete this step after you draw (step 1) on your turn.

3) Action: Attach Spell cards from your hand to your in play creature cards. You may attach Spell cards equal to the number of creatures you have in play. (If you have 2 creature cards in play, you may attach 2 Spell cards; if you have 5 creatures in play, you may attach 5 Spell cards. etc.). Spell cards attached to creatures are not "in play". Spell cards can only activate while "in play".

When: Complete this set after summoning creature cards from your hand (step 2).

4) Action: Attack your opponent's Life Points directly with your creatures. They lose Life Points equal to the number of Spell cards attached to that creature.

Your opponent may block the attack with one of their own creatures. If they do, both the attacking creature and the blocking creature put one Spell card attached to them in the center of the playing field. While in the center of the playing field, the Spell card is "in play". In the Simple Version, ALL SPELL CARDS ACTIVATE IMMEDIATELY! This is the main difference between the Simple Version and the Normal Version of the game. This also creates a less complex effect order, which allows for more free gameplay and less confusing effects. As in the Normal Version, the player attacking gets to activate his/her Spell card first.

When: Complete this step after you have attached Spell cards to your creature cards. Once a Spell card is activated it is discarded into a separate Spell discard pile which is recycled into the Spell deck when there are no Spells left to draw or attach to creatures.

5) Action: End your turn

When: After you have attacked with your creature cards.
